Introduction

Who I am

I'm Bigyan Chhetri—a software engineering student based in Nepal, exploring the intersection of logic, design, and technology. I'm drawn to the challenge of building digital products that are not only functional, but thoughtfully crafted and genuinely useful.

Background

My journey into software development started with curiosity about how things work—not just on the surface, but beneath it. That curiosity led me to study software engineering, where I discovered that the best solutions come from understanding both the technical constraints and the human context.

Over time, I've developed projects like Compass Nepal, a travel platform helping tourists discover and plan their Nepal adventures, and Capsule Korea, an exam preparation tool for students pursuing opportunities abroad. Each project has been a deliberate step toward understanding how good software is made—not just functionally, but with care for craft, clarity, and lasting impact.

What drives me is the belief that technology should feel effortless to use, even when the systems behind it are complex. I'm constantly refining my technical foundation while learning to balance engineering rigor with thoughtful design decisions.

Philosophy

What I value

I believe the best software is invisible—it solves problems so naturally that people barely notice the interface. Good design isn't about aesthetics alone; it's about making complex systems feel simple and approachable.

My goal is to build things that are clear, purposeful, and quietly effective. I'm drawn to projects that solve real problems for real people—whether that's helping tourists explore Nepal with confidence or supporting students preparing for life-changing exams.

Looking ahead, I'm focused on deepening my technical expertise while developing a more nuanced understanding of how technology shapes human experiences. I want to work on projects where craft matters, where every detail contributes to something meaningful and lasting.

Let's work together

If you have an interesting project or opportunity, I'd love to hear from you.
